Quail Market Glut.

Reliable sources are revealing that the quail farming bubble has burst, farmers are now approaching KWS as they seek market for the eggs and birds following an over supply as more and more farmers start rearing the birds without having done any market surveys.
The price of the eggs and birds are daily falling at an increasing rate leadingto loss due to oversupply.
Late last year a quail egg sold between Ksh 100 and Ksh 70 while a chick sold  between Ksh 300 to Ksh  400.lately an egg is selling between Ksh 30 and Ksh 20 while a chick goes for Ksh 150.

The law of demand and supply applies.

Farmers are advised to think twice before venturing into the business as the bubble burst looms.
