GOOD STEWARDSHIP

Every one has a responsibility to empathetically and inquisitively contribute for the betterment of others this is *STEWARDSHIP*. In literal meaning ‘You have a responsibility’. A parent is responsible for her child, a teacher to his student, a preacher to her congregants’, a president to his citizens. As a person you’re responsible for your education, family relationship, environment, neighbor etc.
You are called to nurture
There is a guarantee for life fulfillment to a good steward but not without challenges from the things you so much value; friends will forsake you, your child will despise you, your politician will play trickery on you for your vote. But you know what? A successful man is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks others have thrown at him’ (David Brinkely)
Every one is called to stewardship through his purpose. One can’t fulfill his purpose without scratching others.
Every one was created to fulfill a certain purpose. Gods plan are so successive and interdependent such that no single action will lack precedence and thereafter a reactive result.
In this world everything you do will in one way or another affect another person. This is the reason today we have problems with climate change, terrorism, poor leadership and diseases such as cancer and other pandemics.
Today no organization or government or individual can work without ethics and related policies to help tame the externalities.
DO’s for a good steward.
  • Be willing to sacrifice self interests for the good of others
  • Cultivate a natural desire to serve others and to make a difference for others.
  • Nurture, motivate and empower others through honest praise and supportive recognition, avoid flattery.
  • Put yourself in other people’s shoes.
  • Be approachable your responsible for the success of others. You are a bridge to someone’s success.
  • Think, evaluate and understand the consequences before you act.
  • Be led by truth and love in your acts not the accruing benefits for your actions.
  • Mentor others along the way.
  • Let your conscience be alive
DON’Ts for a good steward.
  • Never be self-centered at some point you will need a bridge called people.
  • Never despise simple advice. If God wanted you to achieve it all one he could have separated you from others.
  • Never walk alone. Props are important.
*Parting shot*
Praise and glory lasts for sometime but legacy lasts forever. Don’t live to please everyone only puppets can achieve that.
